The Worlds Greatest Mug. No! not my face!

People that know me and people that have browsed my blog before, theres not normally much to read, will know that i volunteer at the Keech Hospice Care shop in Luton Town Centre.
not only does it give me a chance to give back to the community,
work on my key skills,
get retail experience
and the opportunity to make friends with OAPs
it also gives me an opportunity to look at all our stock and get first dibs, oo.
there is no cloud, only silver lining.

this week, like most weeks, i bought stuff.
but it was actual stuff not just clothes.

first off is this ABSOLUTELY RUDDY AMAZING MUG

im just astounded!
ive never had a mug that changes with heat.
maybe this will be the start of a faboo collection.
i'm just gonna tell my mum that, i need one for when i go to uni
sneaky sneaky laugh

i also got this little pot.
i must confess i have no idea what its for,
nor do i even have a use for it just yet,
but whatevs.
i just like it cos it looks so serene and stuff, but for some unknown reason it has the word terror printed on the top.
i had to check that was the correct spelling for terror.
believe it or not it is correct.
illiterate buffoon

oo babes.

i enjoyed linking up with handmade Thursday so much i decided to link up with Magpie Monday @ Me and My Shadow.

BEE BAY BAXX. boo babes

the rabbit vodka jelly wasnt just for me babes,
i made it for an actual reason.
that reason is recreation.
my friend JT had a snazzy lil barbeque and this is what i wore:

babes, i only went and got it from TK Maxx!
Quiksilver £9.99 oh good heavens!
i think im turning into a quiksilver obsessive though

i then wore these socks because they kinda matched real good.
is it lame to match ur socks to ur top?
oh wellz

i had a really good time prancing around the garden pretending to be Kate Bush
PRANCE AWAY MY PRETTIEZZZZ
oo babes what an inspriation

 RIP poor dead sock.

u had a temper, like my jealousy, too hot to greedy

JELLY ON AN EFFIN PLATE BABES.

in the past year I've consumed more jelly than any other living thing on mars, FACT.
oo lala.
after eating so much alcoholic jelly in the past year thanks to oliver fisher and chris bulch i decided to make some of my ownnnnnnnnnnnnnn. oo

previously in the year i got so into jelly moulds, my mum now has a collection of about 6, and i made this rabbit shaped jelly;

perfect if i do say so myself baybeh
so what would be more perfect then combining the two brill ideas.

so all u basically need is:
  • a jug
  • a microwavey baby
  • jelly cubes
  • a kettle
  • a mould
  • a fridge
  • water
  • alcohol

its super easy peasy lemon squeezy, just follow the instructions on the jelly pack but substitute half the water for alcohol, here i used vodka, obvi.
here's my jelly in the fridge
wowie
my most special memory from my whole childhood is from one of my birthday parties,
my mum made a rabbit jelly sitting in a field of green jelly.
i was about 7 so vodka wasn't included boooooooooooooo.
but doesn't it sound amazing!!! yayyyyy
i used cointreau instead of vodka yawn, genius

oo babes

once the green jelly was set i mashed it up to look bumpy like grass

i then had the difficult task of turning out the rabbit
 wahh

it didn't go well...... :((((((((((((((( wah-se-poo's.

all that was left to do was to put the mashed green around the rabbit, i also managed to salvage some of the monstrosity that was the rabbit.

not too shabby if i say so my self babez!
it tasted a bit strong so i would recommend a bit less alcohol than i put in.
i might also research ways to get jelly out a mould in one go lolzzzz.

I'm not quite sure if I'm doing this right but totes attempting to link with Handmade Thursday...

Inspire Me Beautiful
did i dooo it??? fingers crossed ahhhhhhh.

Fringed Buck Skin Vest.

A few months ago towards the end of april the old edge done a 50s and 60s themed night.
as soon as i knew i thought of like hippies and glastonbury and whatever.
turns out most other people thought of teddy boys :(

i started googling and searching on wikipedia 'hippies' and really liked these sort of suede vesty jackety things with fringing.

meh
i didnt want one from a costume ship though i think they can look cheap and tacky, but real ones off ebay where about £50! blow that.

so obvi i made one silly!

i bought a jacket from keech hospice care charity shop for £7
i first cut off the sleeves and sewed them onto the back and front before i cut them into strips like fringing.
i also changed the shape a tad because it was originally a womens jacket, so now it doesnt go out at the hips.
i have no pictures of the transitioning, soz babes.
but anywho here it is now, so pretty if i do say so myself oooooooo

wowsers.
and here i am wearing it spinning in circles

LOLZ
